Is it possible to connect other kinds of LCDs to the micro controller?Like a Printer LCD, or even a laptop LCD.

Some yes, some no. A laptop display is a definite no they have driver circuitry on the laptop MB that you won't duplicate with a microcontroller. I've found a couple of text lcd's that I've had success with. Graphic lcd's are possible if you can find a datasheet for them or their Chip set.

I've had good luck finding quite an array of parts from old electronics. If you take some time you can find some pretty neat stuff. And you can't beat the price.
