Basic Electronics » Geomagnetic vectors with a magnetoresistive sensor?

Hello,

Has anybody used a 3-axis magnetoresistive sensor? I could find a cheap one with a good resolution on sparkfun, it is the MicroMag3 (http://www.sparkfun.com/products/244) and has a resolution of about 15nT.

Does anybody knows if this will give me the vector components (for both magnitude and direction of the X, Y and Z components) of the Earth's magnetic field? Does anybody knows about a a magnetoresistive sensor with a better resolution?

Thanks in advance.
