Would it be possible to install the Nerdkits bootloader onto this MCU?

ATmel has a evaluation kit which DigiKey list for around $100.00.

Possible the bootloader would not be necessary as I am sure there has to be some programing method from ATmel.

I really like the idea of wireless communications between a MCU controller and various devices.

I know Nerdkits is focused on higher level devices but figured I'd start here, anybody have any experience with ZigBee?
