LCD display shows faded and incomplete characters. I am using a brand new 9 volt battery. The resistor is 1000 ohm (Brown, Black, Red and Gold).

I would appreciate any help with this.

Hi Soky157, try loading a new "Hello World" program, start from scratch and do not copy any of your existing code.

This will at least tell you that there might be a problem with your code.

Of course always check and recheck your wiring.
