I got the first LCD program to load and run, but the next time I tried to hook up the programming cable the controller would not go into programming mode. I have checked all the wires, checked the switch (even wired direct from the ground bus to the MCU). What might be the problem.

Hi fcowles, it may just be a simple thing that has been overlooked. If possible could you post a photo of your setup so we can see if there is anything obvious wrong. In most cases I would think, it's a dodgy wire or even low battery.

the more information you can give, the better chance we have to help. Don't worry I'm sure it will be a simple fix.
